About Journalism Academy

Discover our history, mission, and the dedicated faculty that makes Journalism Academy a leading institution for journalism education.

Our History

Journalism Academy was founded in 1950 by a group of visionary journalists who recognized the growing need for skilled and ethical reporters in a rapidly changing world. Originally established as a small training program within a local newspaper, the Academy quickly expanded its offerings and reputation. In its early years, the focus was primarily on print journalism, teaching students the fundamentals of news writing, editing, and reporting.

Over the decades, Journalism Academy has evolved to meet the demands of the digital age. We were among the first institutions to incorporate digital journalism into our curriculum, recognizing the importance of online storytelling, multimedia production, and social media engagement. Our commitment to innovation has allowed us to stay at the forefront of journalism education, preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st-century media landscape.

Today, Journalism Academy is a globally recognized center for journalism education, attracting students from all over the world. We have a proud history of producing award-winning journalists who have made significant contributions to the field.
